From the calendar
Official source · Faculty of Arts & ScienceAn applied course in ordinary differential equations. Students will develop the ability to describe physical situations with one or more differential equations. Students will learn to employ various solution techniques and analyze the properties of ordinary differential equations, including cases where explicit analytical solutions are not available. Students will become proficient in concepts and theory related to ordinary differential equations. Topics include, first order ordinary differential equations: direction fields, integrating factors, separable equations, homogeneous equations, autonomous equations, modelling, Euler's method, the existence and uniqueness theorem; higher order equations: constant coefficient equations, reduction of order, method of undetermined coefficients, variation of parameters, resonance; first order linear systems: eigenvalue method, classification, and non-homogeneous systems; non-linear equations: phase plane analysis and stability. Applications in life and physical sciences and economics.

This is a student-contributed aggregate, not an official University of Toronto record. It is also not a measure of how hard the course is — a course average moves with who enrols in it, not only with the material.
Per-term figures stay hidden until each term clears five contributors. 7 observations can support one honest number; they cannot support 7.

Both a midterm and a final appear in what we hold, so this course has historically been assessed on both rather than on a single end-of-term paper.
Counts, not a library. Pyko does not host or distribute course files, and this page is not an offer to supply one — the archive is what lets these pages describe how a course is assessed, which matters most where no syllabus has been verified.

What this opens up
10 courses list MAT244H1 as a prerequisiteThe other 6 have no page yet. Listing a course here means it names MAT244H1 among its prerequisites — often as one of several ways to satisfy the same requirement, so this is what MAT244H1 makes available, not what it alone guarantees.
